What can I expect from my chiropractic visits?

What to Expect

Your First Visit

New patients are welcomed warmly by our assistance who will help you with the initial paper work.  Once completed Dr. Taira will proceed with the consultation.  The consultation is to find out what brought you into our office.  If there’s a specific problem, this is where we will figure out the details of what’s wrong.

Next will be the chiropractic examination.  The examination will be a series of test to determine if chiropractic can help you.  A thorough examination will provide vital information to a proper diagnosis and treatment plan.  X-rays will be taken, as needed, to determine the condition of your spine and to check for any underlying problems that may be present.

First visits are approximately 40 minutes.  Your file will be studied and present to you at your second visit, the report of findings.

Your Second Visit

At your second visit, the report of findings, your examination results are presented.  4 primary questions are answered here: what’s wrong, can chiropractic help you, how long will it take, and how much will it cost.  Other questions that you may have are also answered here to make you feel as comfortable as possible.

From the report of findings we head into your first adjustment at our office.  Because it’s the first adjustment in a series of adjustments, it’s important to get off to a good start and keep up with the recommended treatment plan.

Your report of findings and first adjustment will take approximately 40 minutes.

Your Third Visit & Beyond

Follow up visits consist of your chiropractic adjustment, myofascial release muscle work, 5 minutes on the roller bed massage tables, and review of stretches and exercises.  Along the way if we have not addressed any of your questions, please ask.  The more you know about your care and how chiropractic can help you, the better the results will be.

Follow up adjustment visits are approximately 10 minutes.
