If you're a first-time visitor at Taira Chiropractic, welcome! Your chiropractic care begins with a call to our office to schedule your first visit. We'll help you find the best day and time for you to come in for your consultation and initial examination.

Initial paperwork

We will need you to fill out forms that provide general information about you and your condition. Our staff is happy to email you the initial forms and assist you with the paperwork. Or, click here to download the intake forms now and have them completed before you come in!

Consultation
During your first consultation with the doctor, you'll discuss any health-related issues and concerns. You will also learn about potential treatment options and results.

History and examination
In order to pinpoint the problem, the doctor will ask you a number of questions related to your condition. A variety of targeted tests will be performed to determine which tissues are affected and to what extent.

X-rays
Your specific condition may require us to take x-rays to either rule out more serious conditions or assist us in assessing the most effective treatment plan for you.

First Adjustment

Your first adjustment may follow the consultation and examination, IF the examination determines that x-rays are not required prior to chiropractic treatment.

IF, you were adjusted and aligned on the first visit, you will be given a second pamphlet to read and seen when you are ready!

Report of Findings

IF, on the first visit, it was determined that x-rays were required prior to your chiropractic treatment, the report of what the doctor has found will be presented in addition to your chiropractic care plan.

First Adjustment

Your first adjustment will follow the Report of Findings in which your journey to better health begins.

Home Recommendations

Before leaving, you will be given instructions on certain activities or procedures to be conducted at home. This may include ice or heat applications, avoidance of certain activities or positions, as well as home stretches and exercises.

Scheduling the next appointment

Follow up treatment is important to the pain-free process. We work our treatments around your schedule. Generally speaking, patients are seen within 1-2 weeks of their initial visit, pending the condition. Our front desk assistant will help you to find the best days and times in order for you to get well and stay well.
